Woop, I got tagged for this by the lovely Tash @ The Bookie Monsters. The tag was originally created by Ayunda @ Tea and Paperbacks. Go on over and check these blogs out! I love doing them tag-thingies because they make me think about things I normally don’t think about at all. They’re such trivialities to me and I am always surprised at how little I tend to care about certain stuff…

The Rules:

  • Mention the creator of the tag
  • Thank the blogger who tagged you!
  • Choose one of the options, you don’t have to tell the reasons why you chose that but you can also do them if you want to.
  • Tag 10 other people to do this tag to spread the love

Reading on the couch or on the bed?

Both, actually. I usually start the reading on the couch and then move the whole operation into the bed as it nears sleepy times. I also read on the floor, behind my work desk and in front of the stove while I cook dinner.

Male main character or female main character?

Have no preference what-so-ever. Male is fine as long as he’s not one of those stereotypical millionaire/biker/macho/arrogant yet sweet and amazing lover- kind of fellas and any female as long as they have a backbone and tone down on the whining.

Sweet snacks or salty snacks when reading?

That depends.. majority of each month I am a salty kind of girl and every once in a while I scoff down on everything sugary. You know how it goes. Fellas, no snickering, you lucky sods. You have no idea how difficult it is to understand which way is up or down while choosing a jam doughnut.

Trilogies or quartets?

I don’t really mind. As long as the story keeps flowing there could be 20 books in a series. If they’re good I’ll stick to the series.

First person point of view or third person point of view?

Yup, I start to see that theme here whereby I don’t care! Sorry, don’t mean to come across like an ignorant houseplant but it makes no difference to me. When the writing is good and well delivered I don’t even take note whether it’s first or third person POV.

Reading at night or in the morning?

Yeah, my mornings are a template for mayhem. I sleep too long, then have a mad dash for coffee and trying not to be late for work. Could not squeeze any reading into mornings.

Libraries or bookstores?

Makes no difference to me. If there are walls, a roof and books to finger, I’m in.

Books that make you laugh or make you cry?

I like to keep a balance… I love books that really make me laugh and I equally love books that make me cry. I embrace book-induced depression as much as I embrace the lighthearted comical situation.

Black book covers or white book covers?

Black and white and every color in between. Rainbow colors, colors that cannot be detected by human eye, bring it on. Just no half naked cowboys, pictures of females who could pass for a model and we’re on a winning streak. Why no peeps on covers? As for the men, there’s only so much drooling a girl can do, plus a halfnaked man on cover usually tells me not to read the book unless I’m really in the mood for smut which doesn’t happen that often. And no magazine cover females, because  darn it, I still have to look at myself in the mirror every now and again after reading the book and willpower alone simply doesn’t do miracles for my mug. The female mind is a constant battle of Comparison Charts!

Character driven or plot driven stories?

This I know…Character driven. I’ve said this before somewhere to someone that if characters are out of this world crazy cool, then I would read them in any plot. Even in a plotless book. Even if they’re in a plot hole. I love a good character and whether they’re chasing gangstas or brewing tea in a 10L pot out of those sponge-mushrooms growing on birches- I’m on it.

As always- Tag, you’re it. I follow so many lovely book blogs that I should really do a post to highlight you all and it would be great to see most of you have a go at this. I told Tash @ The Bookie Monsters that these tags are a really great way to see into bookbloggers heads…
