I was pleasantly surprised this morning… actually, let me be honest, I was shocked! I worked from home a couple of hours before coming to the office and had the chance to meet the mailman… Through the cracked window of his postvan (because we have 3 scary dogs!) he handed me some letters and a dark purple (really funky looking) padded envelope. The last one was addressed to me.

This is what was in the envelope:

A postcard that has news of new duology coming out by Laini Taylor, Spirit of Librarian liquid (I smelled it, I think it’s water πŸ˜€ ) and the golden moth ‘tattoo’sticker…wow!

The package was ripped open because liquids aren’t allowed through post but I hope everything that was meant to get to me, did get to me. What surprised me though was the fact I got this fabulous mail in the first place… I think this is my first ‘non-demand’ bookish post! *dances in celebration*

The duology starts with ‘Strange the Dreamer’ and the postcard told me that proofs are on the way… Interesting!

Strange the Dreamer is the story of:

the aftermath of a war between gods and men
a mysterious city stripped of its name
a mythic hero with blood on his hands
a young librarian with a singular dream
a girl every bit as perilous as she is imperiled
alchemy and blood candy, nightmares and godspawn, moths and monsters, friendship and treachery, love and carnage.

Welcome to Weep.

Now, I don’t know if I’m going to receive and ARC as well in the future or not, but I wouldn’t mind some bookish post if ya know what I mean πŸ™‚ I’m bloody well excited!

navitrolla-kalender-kinkekarbis-2017After my trip to Estonia I moaned in my blog that I totally forgot to buy myself the 2017 calendar by Navitrolla. Yesterday I went home to be welcomed by 2 packages waiting for me.. one from my mother who had sent me a ton of chocolate (hello, breaking out in hives!) and the other was from Rahva Raamat, an Estonian bookshop. I had totally forgotten that I had ordered the calendar so that was a big yay. The illustrations in the calendarΒ  are fabulous of course!

And the last piece of news I have… I reached that long awaited milestone of 500 followers on Cover to Cover… to be honest, I never thought I’d get there what with my tendency to read&review indie books, thus making the hype book lovers pass me by… but you know what? I haven’t felt this kind of sense of a community anywhere else… ever.. in my life… I think the book blogging community is awesome, you’re all very artistic, genuine, tons of fun and so creative… I feel I have a lot to learn from every single blog I follow and most importantly I thank every single follower sososo much for sticking with me! πŸ™‚

Here’s to new books, here’s to great reading experiences and a bubbly cheers for you all! πŸ™‚ ❀
