Right… peeps… Any UFC fans in the place? Say AY-OH!
Easons bookstore in Killarney, Ireland hosted the book signing event by Coach Kavanagh for his book ‘Win or Learn’… Hell yeah I was gonna grab my copy, zoom over and get the signature with the mandatory pics…
That’s right peeps, I met the humble yet fantastic Coach, got the signature and the freaking belt on my shoulder! Yes, that is yours truly… I know, trolling gets a whole new meaning here π JK…
I’m just super psyched that my dear hubster chaffeured me and took the photos. My first ever book signing event! That’s me sorted for xmas! π
By the way, if you’re into MMA, UFC, hate or love Conor McGregor- here’s a book rec- Win or Learn by John Kavanagh. You can find my review HERE if you’re at all interested.
Over and out, y’all! Thanks for your attention!
I have no idea who that is but this is exciting! ππ So happy you had this opportunity! I’ve never been to a book event because even though Bordeaux has the major independent bookstore in the country, 90% of the authors are French or francophones and I’m just not interested.

π Thank you… I’m totally psyhced! I love UFC and I know a lot of people hate it… it’s a bit of a brutal sport. But Kavanagh is Irish and he’s the coach to the currently most outrageous UFC fighter, also Irish, Conor McGregor… so, yeah, I’m a fan.
I know how you feel… a lot of Irish events would normally happen in Dublin and being in SouthWest it can be a proper pain to actually get to Dublin for anything… time is money etc π But one day… Donna, you’ll have your first major book event and then you’ll be super psyched as well! π

I was going to comment on how that belt is as big as you if not bigger hehe β€ What fun! I admit that I have not followed UFC for a few years now. I always slack with stuff.

Hahahaha… yeah… meet me, the miniature figurine… I swear, when I was 21 a customer commented that he thought I was a 14 year old boy… oh well… π
I only got into UFC a couple of years ago… needless to say, soccer seems mighty boring now… I’m all for high speed, adrenaline sport… like Moto GP and TT Racing… I love sports… I mean, watching them π Who did you fan when you were still watching UFC?

I didn’t really fan over anyone. Chuck Liddell and BJ Penn were big at the time. I more went to my buddies house to watch the matches because it was fun, he was cool and there was free beer haha!

Brilliant! I’ve heard of those two… BJ Penn I think was considering making a comeback? Not sure… but a cool friend and free beer sounds exactly something I would have done as well! π

Very cool, Liz! π Congrats! I’m not a McGregor fan, as I’ve mentioned before, but that’s still pretty cool. My ex boyfriend was a semi-pro boxer and he got to meet Freddie Roach, which is also pretty damn cool, so I can only imagine how exciting that was for you. We were freaking out over it. If only I got to met him as well. π That’s awesome! Lucky girl! π

Have you heard of Jon “Bones” Jones? He grew up in the Triple Cities were I live. I think he might actually have a home here, but I am not sure about that. This is the extent of my MMA knowledge. Ha ha. I am glad this signing made you so happy. π

I’m not into UFC personally, but so many of my friends are. I told one of them, “Hey! My blogger friend Liis met John Kavanagh…” and he FREAKED OUT! I’m so glad that your first book signing was for a person you admire. That’s huge! Congrats!!
