I am sure I’m not alone in feeling like 2016 has flown by in a blink of an eye. It has been truly busy and to be honest, I think I was quite ignorant towards the more earthly things because I was in my own bubbles… a bubble of work and a bubble of reading. Do I feel like I have wasted precious time? Maybe… Sometimes… But, I enjoy reading so much and I am the master of giving into this particular temptation! π Being a part of the book blogging community some 2-3 years has been great! Especially 2016 when I met so many wonderful, interesting, crazy and fun people! You’re all fantastic!
Here we are, then… busy, stressing, not stressing, buying stuff, wrapping stuff, going over recipes just to ease our minds, organising, cleaning… so…
My wishes for each and every one of you are simple:
Stay Safe! Love Each Other! Put your feet up and Enjoy! Warmth into your Hearts, Peace into your Souls and let there be Smiles on your faces! πΒ
All the best,
Liis
2016 has gone by quick, it’s been a pretty sh#t year though and I’ll be glad to see the end of it. Never thought I’d start a blog during it either but here I am!π
If you enjoy something then it’s never time wasted, no matter what that thing is, if you enjoy it then that’s all that matters.π
Ha, yeah, there’s some crazy people in the wacky world of blogging!π
That’s a good wish at the end of the post, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you to.π

It actually has been a tough year and sorry to hear it was sh#t for you… but out with the old and in with the new!
You made a good choice starting the blog π Reading and blogging about it is like the best waste of time ever! And you’re right, no matter how adult, and no matter what is ‘expected’ of one, once something is enjoyable that’s all that matters!
Thanks Drew and I Hope you have a good festive season, Drew! π

Lol, thanks, it definitely wasn’t something I ever thought I’d do but I don’t think I’ve done to badly with it, totally agree though that reading and blogging to is the best waste of time ever.π

2016 flew by in a blink. I am actually thankful for that with this latter part of the year. I admit, this was a rough one. But with the bad comes the good. And while maybe I spent too much time on the floor π or reading, I feel pretty great about so many other things.
I managed to take my illness and let it help me to finally launch the blog (I needed something I could do). Best decision of the year! I met an incredible and supporting community who help ground me during a challenging time. Most of that support and the friendships built allowed me to regain some confidence and deal. So yay to each and every single one of you! Lis, you rock my dear β€ Seriously!
This shit show of an election helped me educate my children and tackle tough topics with them. The outcome sucked and probably will for the next four years, but I amm hopeful we will at least learn. Although, I admit, my faith in humanity wavered and I found myself crying for the first time in my life over the future of this country that is already suffering. But again, I hope to better and wiser for it. It has raised my awareness to so many pressing issues.
I also learned that those with chronic illness are under treated and lost in the system too often. I am now living that example. But (again with the help of many of you), I also learned that even though life may change, it still moves in the same direction – forward. I may be different, but it doesn't make me less.
My wish to you Liz, is that you always see the beauty that is you. That you glimpse yourself through the eyes of those who love you and move forward with strength passion and resilience. May 2017 be full of unending happiness and of course fun π
Sorry for rambling. And I am not even drinking!

Thank you Danielle and don’t worry about rambling… It’s good to voice whatever is on one’s mind!
And yes, there has been many things going wrong and it has overall been tough but… we are nothing if not resilient! Sometimes, it takes hitting the rock bottom to find the strength to fight our way back to the top! We have made it this far- through thick and thin- we shall keep on ploughing through whatever life throws at us! You are a strong woman and admirable by many, including me, because I notice you gpoing strong with kids, the bloody floor!, blogging and work… It takes strength to keep moving and you’re always moving… forward!! π
Thank you for the loveliest Christmas wish- it made me teary eyed and warmed my heart! Enjoy the Holidays and here’s to better days ahead! π β€ β€ β€

I wish 2017 brings you whatever you are wishing for that didn’t come in 2016! I hope 2017 will be a good year for me too, this year wasn’t a spectacular good year but I guess it can always be worse, and I started blogging so at least something good happened. I’m very happy we found each other on the web and I hope to read many more posts of you in the new year. Happy New Year!

I can’t wait to say goodbye to 2016. It had its ups and (lots of) downs and now I feel the need to start fresh! Still, I am thankful for the birth of my blog and all the wonderful friendships I have made thanks to it. Here’s to us living a full and bookish 2017! I wish you a wonderful end of the year too, with lots of chocolate π
