It is the last day of the year… time to start all of the bookish overview posts and today I am starting with a tag that I have been doing for a few years now and also vamping it better year by year with Queen’s Book Asylum. You can check Timy’s 2025 in books here!

2025 was hectic… lots of work, lots of family ….stuff… and lots of Uni deadlines. Reading, of course, one thing to keep me tethered and sane. So, without further ado… Here goes!

On my bucket list is A Short Stay in Hell (Goodreads)

A happy day includes The Devils (Goodreads)

When I’m in a murderous mood I need The Familiar (Goodreads)

People might be surprised by The Friend Zone (Goodreads)

Wish I had The Sins of Steel and Shadow (Goodreads)

I will never be The Buried Giant (Goodreads)

I hate To Catch a Firefly (Goodreads)

My fictional partner would be The Underdog (Goodreads)

Celebrating holidays with my family is always Beyond the Wall (Goodreads)

At a party you’d find me with The Whispering Dark (Goodreads)

I’ve never been to Station Eleven (Goodreads)

My inner child would be delighted by Runelight (Goodreads)

I would go on a quest with Dracula (Goodreads)

I’d end up in an asylum because of Villette (Goodreads)

I escape the asylum with the help of Moon of the Turning Leaves (Goodreads)

If I ran a fantasy tavern, it would be called The Wisdom of Crowds (Goodreads)

The epitaph on my gravestone would be Confess (Goodreads)

In my next life, I want to be Braiding Sweetgrass (Goodreads)

My life in 2025 was like A Crack in the World: The Reckoning (Goodreads)

My theme song for 2026 should be titled The Song of Achilles (Goodreads)

And there we have it! Quite a mix of genres, now that I look at that spread! XD I aim to follow this tag up with another post to look back on 2025 and how I did with some various challenges! Watch this space!

I hope you, the person reading this post, had a good 2025! But let’s be honest, there’s always something good about closing a year out, leaving some “stuff” behind us and looking ahead to the new year ahead. Like each new day, every new year brings with it a hope of changes and opportunities. So, here’s to you! Have a good one!
