Some time in the beginning of 2014 I thought I too, as a Goodreads member, will start a book challenge. For this challenge I set 50 books to be read in 2014. I started the whole thing rather late in February I believe and am a bit behind schedule. But up until this very moment of today I have read 24 books, with a total of 6839 pages…
With 4 months to go and 26 books yet to read I am doubtful I will finish my reading challenge on a positive note this year…. But who knows? Irish winter is coming and since I am off the “watch-a-lot-of-stupid-teen-series-on-laptop”-wagon at the moment, I might just fill the dark evenings with books instead of Vampire Diaries/revenge/TheOriginals/Suits etc…
Until this moment my very favorite book-experience has been by
- Mark Lawrence, of course, with his “Broken Empire” series- I wrote about the series in this post
- Caitlin Moran’s “How to build a Girl”- absolutely funny and so true to life. I will definitely read more from Caitlin; and,
- John Niven’s “The Second Coming” – you all, you really need to read this, be you a follower of religion or not. This book was so great I think I will read it 5 times more!!! It’s about God and Jesus and people and Satan. It’s about how everything in relation to God is NOT what the church thinks and tells us it is… Go on, you know you want to read it- you won’t regret it, I promise!
To books! Cheers!

Kadestan Sind.

I think it’s completely okay if you don’t achieve your reading goal. You set a goal in the first place, so as long as you try to achieve it, that’s all the matters! 🙂

Why, thank you 🙂 I think so too… And in the end it’s more important that I enjoy the books that I read rather than have quantity over quality put me off reading altogether. 🙂

Viimane challenge, mille vastu võtsin oli 100 books you need to read before you die.

Cheers 🙂
